What is rainwater harvesting?
Rainwater harvesting is when rainwater is collected and contained rather than let it go to waste down the drain, into the ground or lost through evaporation. Large surfaces such as roofs or driveways are ideal for harvesting rainwater and can provide up 100,000 litres per year from a typical four bedroomed home.
The water can be used to flush toilets, water gardens and any purpose that does not require the quality of drinking water. Rainwater has the potential to save a large volume of mains water and therefore reduce the pressures of water shortages in the UK.
Is it right for Window Cleaning?
Yes, our business is reliant on water to clean people's homes or commercial premises, more so since the introduction of the Reach and Wash System, so we are commited to making a difference and relieve the pressures of water shortages in the UK. 75% of our water is rain harvested. How it works?
We have a number of above ground and underground tanks capable of storing 80,000 litres of rainwater, ample amount for a years water supply for our business. It's not as simple as using the rainwater direct for cleaning, after collection, the water then goes through a series of filters to purify the water to "0 ppm"(particles per million).
